Rhino Resources Ltd. has awarded Halliburton Co. a deepwater integrated multi-well construction contract for work offshore Namibia, Halliburton announced April 24.
Under the agreement, which begins in the fourth quarter of 2024, Halliburton will construct exploration and appraisal wells and provide testing services.
Rhino Resources-operated Block 2914A (PEL 85) is in the shallower portion of the Orange Basin and located less than 20 km from the nearest discovery. In late 2022, Rhino conducted a 3D seismic survey that indicated multiple viable plays and drillable prospects.
