Strike Energy has completed its Ocean Hill seismic acquisition and began a seismic survey in Kadathinni in Australia, the company said in an April 19 report.
The 256 sq km 3D seismic acquisition over the large Ocean Hill gas discovery was completed under budget in Strike’s 100% owned and operated EP495 permit. The acquisition will assist in further defining the structure and faulting within the field and will be used to site a future appraisal well to support potential resource-to-reserve conversion.
Strike has also started a 2D seismic survey of 479 km in Kadathinni, the company’s 100% owned and operated EP503, EP504 and EP505 permits. The four structures that make up the Arrino-Kadathinni complex on the Tathra Terrace represent what Strike said will be the next Permian frontier for the Perth Basin. The Arrino Kadathinni structures are currently interpreted to be at similar depths to previously discovered Lockyer and West/South and North Erregulla wells.
