Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Mubadala Petroleum is has received approval for exploration drilling on Block G1/48 Manora Field in the Northern Gulf of Thailand. Three exploration wells and an appraisal sidetrack are planned. The first planned well is #1 Inthanin and it will be about 4 km south-southwest of the Manora platform. The Inthanin prospect trap is a three-way dip closure with the added possibility of a larger combination trap at the 500 Sands level. The primary objective of the exploratory is to test for hydrocarbons in the 400, 500, and 600 series sands levels, all of which produce in the Manora East fault block 1.6 km to the north-northeast. The target reservoirs are fluvial at the 400 and 500 level, and lacustrine at the 600 level. After the #1-Inthanin is completed, the rig will be moved on to drill #1-Yothaka East and #1-Krissanas. A contingent sidetrack into the Yothaka structure will be dependent upon the results of #1-Yothaka East and #1-Krissanas.
