About the Event
The United States is leading the world in natural gas production and exports have increased exponentially. Producers and shippers are challenged with not only maintaining current demand, but also how to support sustainable growth.
Join Hart Energy LIVE's second America’s Natural Gas conference as world class leaders address the gas growth potential from the Marcellus and Haynesville to gas fairways in the Permian, Eagle Ford, and Gulf of Mexico.
This highly-anticipated conference unites American gas and energy players with world-leading influential experts, policymakers, decision-makers and business leaders to share their views on the significant issues shaping the global energy agenda.

Welcome to America's Natural Gas Conference 2023
The U.S. has grown into the world’s No. 1 natgas supplier, exporting up to 20 Bcf/d while consuming some 80 Bcf/d domestically. No longer is America’s CH4 stranded—nor in short supply. The Appalachian Basin alone has the potential to produce more than 60 Bcf/d, as the imminent unleashing of the U.S. permitting process will lay more pipe. As the world’s No. 1 natgas power, it’s a matter of price, export capacity, consumption sources for greater supply, demands for “green gas,” and even economic and defense alliances are in play. The annual America’s Natural Gas Conference describes the successes of today and the tasks ahead in achieving assured results for decades to come.
HOST:
Nissa Darbonne, Executive Editor at Large, Oil and Gas Investor
Getting It There: The Big Pipe
More than 6 Bcf/d of new LNG capacity is under construction and a ninth U.S. export facility, Rio Grande, has FID. Meanwhile, domestic demand continues to grow, while powergen drops coal, upon connecting to new gas supply. Williams Cos. describes how it’s increasing capacity to market. Plus learn about the CCS it’s adding to a new Haynesville pipe.
MODERATOR:
Jordan Blum, Editorial Director, Hart Energy
SPEAKER:
Chad Zamarin, Executive Vice President, Williams
The Numbers: Supply, Demand & Beating Down that Half-Tcf
An in-depth overview of U.S. natgas supply-growth potential and the buyers awaiting more of the product domestically and abroad. Plus, new associated-gas potential and new Texas gas plays. And, how to get rid of the half-Tcf overhang in storage leftover from Freeport LNG’s eight-month closure?
SPEAKER:
Bernadette Johnson, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Power and Renewables, Enverus
Producer-to-Buyer: The Long-Term Gas-Supply Contract
Leading U.S. gas producers, including EQT Corp. and Chesapeake Energy Corp., are signing gas-supply contracts with LNG exporters and buyers. Here’s a look into the trend and the outlook for more of these.
SPEAKER:
Dumitru (Dumi) Dediu, Partner, McKinsey & Co.
The Role of U.S. Natural Gas Exports in a Low-Carbon World
As is the U.S., allies are de-carbon’ing their energy future. And U.S. gas is increasingly carbon-lite itself as field operations decrease emissions and CCS is being added along the route between wellhead and tanker. Here’s a look.
SPEAKER:
Benjamin Bajema, Analyst, Energy Futures Initiative
The Big Gas Field: Executive Q&A
A leading U.S. oil and gas finder, culminating with the discovery of the Eagle Ford and the near co-discovery of the Haynesville, Dick Stoneburner is developing a new-territory gas basin in Australia. Here, he brings the perspective of how Australian and U.S. gas fit in the global supply future.
MODERATOR:
Nissa Darbonne, Editor-At-Large, Hart Energy
SPEAKER:
Dick Stoneburner, Chairman, Tamboran Resources Ltd., and Co-Founder, Petrohawk Energy Corp.
West Coast Mexico: A Bridge Between the Permian Basin and Asian LNG Markets
In addition to importing some 7 Bcf/d from the U.S. via pipe, Mexico’s West Coast is expected to unlock a valuable pathway for Permian Basin gas to reach premium Asian LNG markets. Quantum Energy Partners is a major investor in West Coast LNG developer, Mexico Pacific. Learn more here.

SPEAKER:
Blake Webster, Partner, Quantum Energy Partners
Un-Stranding U.S. NatGas
Pipeline operators are navigating U.S. surface issues, overcoming seemingly impossible impasses in getting stranded U.S. gas to buyers, while adding CCS toward greening what’s headed overseas. Here’s a look into what’s underway and the additional infrastructure needed to meet prospective buyers’ upcoming demand.
SPEAKERS:
Justin Carlson, Co-Founder & Chief Commercial Officer, East Daley Analytics
Thomas Sharp, Director of Permitting Intelligence, Arbo
