About the Event

The Appalachian Basin's natural gas production exceeding 35 Bcf/d has played a pivotal role in propelling the U.S. into the world’s leading natural gas supplier. The total U.S. production now stands at over 100 Bcf/d, with approximately 20 Bcf/d being exported to allies overseas.

Looking to the future, the basin's potential output, if unstranded, could reach an impressive 60 Bcf/d. This potential further assures the U.S. and its allies that more CH4 is at the ready to displace unfriendly sources of supply and further meet global lower-carbon goals.

At Hart Energy’s 16th Annual DUG Appalachia Conference, industry leaders from across the basin will share their perspectives on how to tackle today's challenges while reflecting on the region’s contribution to energy independence, lowered energy prices, and economic growth through job creation and investments in infrastructure. This year, the 20th anniversary of the Marcellus Shale marks a significant milestone in the energy sector, celebrating two decades since the discovery and development of one of the largest natural gas fields in the United States.
