Abby Strickland Ballard

Abby Strickland Ballard joined the Validus Energy team in March 2021 as a senior data engineer. She leads the company’s data management practices, building its data analytics platform and helping to automate processes throughout the organization. 

Ballard most recently worked as a senior production engineer/data scientist with Bruin E&P  Operating LLC, where she designed and built the company’s business intelligence platform. Her work at Bruin E&P covered operations, finance, accounting and business development project needs as well as engineering studies. 

Prior to joining Bruin E&P, she consulted in oil and gas where she worked with more than 40 clients throughout major U.S. basins. She also held traditional production engineering roles with Chesapeake Energy and Antero Resources in Haynesville, Devonian, Utica and Marcellus asset teams. 

Ballard has a B.S. in petroleum engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
