Drilling Activity Summary
Description
Perth-based 88 Energy reported in an operations update that it encountered hydrocarbons at an Alaska North Slope wildcat that confirms 49-52° API liquid hydrocarbons at #1 Charlie. It was drilled to 11,112 ft and hit more than 280 ft of net pay in Seabee, Torok and Kuparuk. It was drilled in Section 21-4n-9e. According to the company the gas/oil ratio from the most representative sample is 17,000-23,500 cu ft of gas per barrel of crude. With a high gas/oil ratio, 88 Energy noted that gas would need to be re-injected into the reservoir to maintain pressure should the company decide to develop the area. The Charlie prospect is on state lease ADL 393380.
