IHS Markit announced that a Carthage Field-Haynesville discovery was drilled in San Augustine County (RRC Dist. 6), Texas, by Aethon Energy Operating. Located in Section 13n-47e, William Kimbro Survey, A-179, #1H KVG-King Allocation was drilled to 21,845 ft (13,527 ft true vertical). It was tested on a 17/64-inch choke flowing 10.584 MMcf of gas with no reported water per day with a flowing casing pressure of 9,023 psi. Production is from perforations at 13,710-21,662 ft. Aethon Energy is based in Dallas.
