Drilling Activity Summary
Description
Energean Oil and Gas has appraised its Karish North discovery in offshore Israel. The company confirmed the best estimate recoverable resources of 900 MMcf of gas and 34 MMbbl of light oil/condensate. The findings enhance Energean's discovered resource volumes across its Karish and Tanin leases. According to the London-based company, the discovered resources are incremental to the 2.4 Tcf and 33 MMbbl Energean already has in its Karish and Tanin leases. The #1-Karish North sidetrack was drilled 700 m north of the original Karish North well with a key objective to confirm the gas-water contact. The sidetrack encountered a gross water contact at a true vertical depth of 4,791 m, 13 m below the gas level that was encountered in the original wellbore. The total mapped hydrocarbon column is confirmed at 310 m. Energean is the operator of the Karish Block and Field with 100% interest.
