ExxonMobil Corp. announced that it plans to drill approximately 20 oil exploration projects in the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana. A recent discovery at #1-Pacora has pushed the projected oil production from offshore Guyana to 500 Mbbl per day. Three floating production, storage and offloading vessels (FPSOs) will accommodate production when it begins in 2020. One of the FPSOs will handle 120 Mbbl of oil per day from #1-Liza, with development of #1-Payara, and #1-Pacora well production will reach more than 500 Mbbl per day. ExxonMobil is the operator of the block and wells and holds 45% interest in partnership with Hess Corp. holding 30%, and the China National Offshore Oil Corp. with the remaining 25%.
