Drilling Activity Summary
Description
Southwestern Energy, Houston, has completed two Arkoma Basin exploratory tests in northern Faulkner County, Ark. The #1-15H Black 8-12 is in Section 15-8n-12w and flowed 5.36 million cu. ft. of gas per day during preliminary tests of a north horizontal leg in the Fayetteville shale that was projected to 11,400 ft. (5,800 ft. true vertical). Shut-in pressure was reported at 2,164 psi. On the same drill pad 20 ft. to the west, #1-16H Arnold 8-12 was initially tested flowing 5.1 million cu. ft. of gas daily. It was designed with a parallel north lateral terminating in the northeast part of the section, with measured and true vertical depths projected at 11,500 ft. and 5,800 ft., respectively. Additional information about both wells has not been released.
