Description
Two Jefferson County, Ohio, Utica Shale discoveries were reported by Ascent Resources. The wells were drilled from a Limestone Field pad in Section 36-5n-2w. The #2H Cecelia SW WEL was drilled to 21,113 ft (9,752 ft true vertical) and tested after 61 stages of fracture stimulations. It produced 30.01 MMcf of gas and 147 bbl of water daily from perforations at 10,301-20,972 ft. The offsetting #6H Cecelia SE WEL was drilled to 21,617 ft (9,861 ft true vertical). It flowed 30.01 MMcf of gas and 216 bbl of water per day from a fractured zone at 10,457-21,470 ft. Ascent’s headquarters are in Oklahoma City.
