Description

In Poland's Poznan East in Block 207, Aurelian Oil & Gas reported a gas discovery at #1-Krzesinki. According to the company, the exploratory well in on the same license as the Siekierki tight gas field and was targeting the same age reservoir (Permian Rotliegendes sandstones, within a separate structure). The Aurelian well hit a 65-meter gas column, and 175 meters of core have been recovered: core testing has shown porosity ranges of 5%-6% and permeability ranges of 0.04-40.0 millidarcies in the gas column. A preliminary estimate by the London-based company indicates of 10-20 billion cu. ft. of gas in place. The Siekierki project is located on the Poznan licenses which are 100% held by Energia Zachod, 90% owned by Aurelian and 10% by Avobone.
