Description
Beach Energy Ltd is under way at appraisal well #3-Perlubie on the western flank of the Cooper Basin in South Australia's PPL 247 permit area. The venture is targeting Namur Sandstone and has a planned depth of 1415m to appraise and develop the northern area of the Perlubie Field, which was discovered in 2009. The well is located 300m west of discovery well #1-Perlubie. The Perlubie Field has produced approximately 131 Mbbl of oil from Namur Sandstone reservoir since production operations began. Adelaide-based operator Beach holds 75 per cent interest in partnership with Cooper Energy, which holds the remaining 25 per cent in the well and the PPL 247 license area.
