Beach Energy Ltd announced results from exploration well #1-Raignal in the South Australia portion of the Western Cooper Basin Wet Gas Fairway. The prospect is in PRL130. Preliminary well log evaluation indicates a gross interval in Patchawarra between 2,379 m and 2,787 m with net pay of 6.6 m, and a gross interval in Tirrawarra between 2,787 m and 2,842 m, with a net pay of 3 m. A drillstem test in Patchawarra flowed 5.88 MMcf of gas, with condensate testing underway. The well will be cased and suspended as a new discovery. Beach is the operator of PRL130 and #1-Raignal with 50% interest in partnership with Drillsearch, holding the other 50%.
