Beach Energy Ltd.’s appraisal and development well, #18-Callawonga, has been cased and suspended as a future producer on the South Australia’s Callawonga Field. The well is in PEL92 in Callawonga Field on the western flank of South Australia’s Cooper Basin. The deviated well was drilled to 1,582 m and hit McKinlay Member Sandstone with a 2.4-m gross thickness and 2.1-m net oil pay. The #18-Callawonga is the second of a five-well campaign in the field and is targeting previously undeveloped reserves in the McKinlay Member Sandstone. Adelaide, South Australia-based Beach is the operator of the PEL92 joint venture in PPL220 and Callawonga Field with 75% interest in partnership with Cooper Energy Ltd., which holds the remaining 25%.
