In South Australia's Cooper Basin, Beach Energy Ltd. completed fracture stimulating #1-Encounter in PEL218. According to the company, the Patchawarra (Roseneath shale, Epsilon, and Murteree shale) flowed up to 750,000 cu. ft. per day. A second phase fracture stimulation over a 250-meter section had a peak gas flow of 1.3 million cu. ft. per day. The #1-Encounter will be flow-tested to analyze zone contributions by the various producing sections.
