Description
Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd. has re-entered and cased a Beetaloo Basin well in Northern Territory, Australia. The #1H-NW Amungee is a horizontal well, with fracturing planned for a horizontal section. The venture is in permit area EP98. It was drilled to 3,808 m and hit a 1,100-m horizontal section in the B Shale interval of Middle Velkerri. Falcon also spudded vertical well #1-W Beetaloo in permit area EP117. Multistage fracturing and an extended production testing are planned. The #1-W Beetaloo is targeting the unexplored southern Beetaloo Basin for shale and hybrid shale-sand plays in Velkerri and Kyalla including the organic-rich mudstones of Kyalla and Middle Velkerri member. The planned depth is 3,045 ft. Falcon’s headquarters are in Denver.
