Description
A high-volume Woodford completion was announced by Oklahoma City-based Continental Resources Inc. The #1-6-7XHW Simba initially flowed 29.8 MMcf per day, with 50 bbl of 56-degree-gravity condensate and 4.453 Mbbl of water per day. The Blaine County, Okla., discovery is in Section 6-14n-12w. Production is from an acidized and fractured interval at 13,267-23,085 ft that extends southward across the section and bottomed in Section 7-14n-12w. It was drilled to 23,217 ft, 13,371 ft true vertical. The Squaw Creek Field well was tested on a 42/64-in. choke with a shut-in tubing pressure of 5,975 psi and a flowing tubing pressure of 5,001 psi.
