Description
In southwestern Leon County (RRC Dist. 5), Houston-based Gastar Exploration Ltd. announced a successful East Texas Bossier shale test in the southwestern portion of Leon County about seven miles southwest of Flynn, Texas. The #5 Gastar Wildman Trust was drilled to a total depth of 19,000 ft. and logged approximately 60 net ft. of pay in five Lower Bossier and one Middle Bossier zones. Gastar owns a 66.7% working interest before payout (54.5% net-revenue interest before payout). Hilltop Resort Field well is on a 334-acre lease in Jose Maria Viesca Survey, A-30. Gastar permitted another test about a half-mile southeast in the same survey and is scheduled to be drilled as part of Hilltop Resort Field to a total depth of 20,000 ft. in Bossier.
