Description
According to IHS Markit, BP Plc is underway at a site along the far western edge of Fourier Field in Mississippi Canyon Block 520. The #3 OCS G09821 is in about 6,600 ft of water and is apparently targeting Middle Miocene. Fourier (Mississippi Canyon Block 522) Field is a Middle Miocene reservoir that extends eastward across blocks 520, 521 and 522. As many as seven wells operated by BP and Deep Gulf Energy III have been brought online to date, with cumulative recovery from the field totaling 66.4 MMbbl of crude/condensate and 307.6 Bcf of gas since 2003. BP’s headquarters are in London.
