Description
London-based BP Plc is underway at a development test as part of the company’s Mad Dog Field expansion. The #9 OCS G09981 is in the northeastern portion of Green Canyon Block 825, and water depth in the area is 4,900 ft. BP discovered Mad Dog (Green Canyon Block 826) Field in 1998. The Mad Dog Phase 2 project is expected to come online in late 2021. The project will include a new floating production platform with the capacity to produce up to 140 Mbbl of crude per day.
