Description
IHS Inc. reports reestablished Chandeleur Sound Block 68 Field production in offshore South Louisiana state waters by Austin-based Brigham Resources. The #1 State Lease 19312 was tested flowing 2.65 million cu. ft. of gas and 173 bbl. of water per day through perforations at 9,137-67 ft. Flowing and shut-in tubing pressures were gauged at 2,075 psi and 2,350 psi respectively on a 17/64-in. choke. Total depth is 9,600 ft., with 95/8-in. casing set on bottom. The new Brigham well is a southern offset to the only previous producer in Block 68 Field. In 2002, #1 State Lease 17122 was completed flowing 10.5 million cu. ft. of gas per day when it was knocked offline by Hurricane Katrina. The #1 State Lease 19312 is Brigham's second well in a joint venture with Clayton Williams Energy Inc. of Midland.
