Tulsa-based Canyon Creek Energy has reported preliminary completion details for two long-reach horizontal Woodford wells drilled from a pad in Hughes County Okla. The #2-27/34H Bonell is in Section 22-6n-11e and it was drilled south about 2 miles to 17,015 ft (6,290 ft true vertical and it bottomed in Section 34-6n-11e. An initially daily flow rate was not reported but the well averaged 5.76 MMcf of gas per dayfrom an acidized and fractured interval at 6,742-16,908 ft. Fifteen ft east on the pad, #3-27/34H Bonell was drilled with a parallel lateral to 17,080 ft (6,328 ft true vertical). It was perforated and treated between 6,860 and 16,983 ft and flowed at an average rate of 5.77 MMcf of gas per day.
