Description
Central Petroleum Ltd. announced that coring has been completed at #1-Gaudi from 2,105 m through the Lower Arthur Creek Formation (LAC) and Thorntonia Limestone. Gas shows were recorded at the Queensland site while coring through Lower Arthur Creek in the Southern Georgina JV. A total of 66 core segments will be analyzed including the gas content of Lower Arthur Creek. A gas peak was recorded near the base, apparently coincident with observed natural fractures. Wireline logging is planned and the well will be cased and suspended. Central Petroleum, based in Brisbane, is the operator.
