Description
Results from two Utica Shale wells were announced by Chesapeake Operating Inc. in Jefferson County, Ohio. The Island Creek Consolidated Field wells were drilled form a single pad in Section 27-7n-2w. The #3H Schiappa Trust A 27-7-2 was acidized and fractured and produced 20.854 MMcf of gas and 242 bbl of water per day from perforations at 9,727-19,203 ft. It was drilled to the northwest to 19,575 ft with a true vertical depth of 9,181 ft. The #1H Schiappa Trust A 27-7-2 was drilled to 19,953 ft, 9,326 ft true vertical. It initially flowed 21.041 MMcf of gas and 218 bbl of water daily from perforations at 9,754-19,465 ft.
