Drilling Activity Summary
Description
Chesapeake Operating Inc., Oklahoma City, will evaluate Pennsylvanian Orr and Hale sands with its #1-27 Webco 6-11 in a nonproducing region of eastern Faulkner County, approximately 2.5 miles north-northeast of Vilonia, Ark. The wildcat is in Section 27-6n-11w and is projected to reach a target depth of 7,500 ft. The only other test drilled to date in the eastern Arkoma Basin township was abandoned 44 years ago. The #1 Atkinson is a mile west-northwest of the current site and neither show nor test was reported for this well. The Hale discovery, completed earlier this year, is about seven miles northeast. There, #1-34 Walker was tested flowing 493, 000 cu. ft. of gas per day. The Fayetteville shale interval yielded 9 million cu. ft. of gas during six months online.
