Description

In Sullivan County, Pa., Chief Oil & Gas completed two Marcellus Shale wells in Sullivan County, Pa. The discoveries were drilled from a pad in Section 6, Shunk 7.5 Quad, Elkland Township. The #1H Hemlock Hunting Club was drilled to the north to 20,027 ft with a true vertical depth of 8,278 ft. It was fractured in 69 stages and flowed 23.416 MMcf of gas per day from perforations at 7,865-19,890 ft. The #3H Hemlock Hunting Club was drilled to 19.069 ft, 8,243 ft true vertical. It was tested flowing 28.327 MMcf of gas per day from 7,805 ft- 19480 ft after 67-stage fracturing. Chief’s headquarters are in Dallas.
