Description
Denver-based Cimarex Energy Co. completed a horizontal Bone Spring well in the Lusk South Field area of Lea County, N.M. The #3H Lusk Southeast 33 Federal is in Section 33-19S-32E. The well recorded a peak daily production rate of 1,173 bbl. of oil equivalent (997 bbl. of oil and 1.06 million cu. ft. of gas per day). According to Cimarex, the well has been producing from Second Bone Spring for two weeks and is still cleaning up and flowing back the fracturing load at over 500 psi on a 34/64-in. choke, without artificial lift. The well was permitted to a total depth of 14,191 ft., 9,370 ft. true vertical. Cimarex owns a 62.5% working interest and a 70.9% net revenue interest in the new producer.
