Description
Operator Beach Energy reported results from #10-Callawonga, an oil development well in PPL 220 in the South Australia's Cooper Basin. The well was drilled to 1,482 m and oil shows were observed in McKinlay Member and Namur Sandstone. A total gross oil column of 4.8 m was interpreted at the venture. The Callawonga Field well will be cased and suspended, with additional testing planned. Pre-drill modelling indicated that #10-Callawonga has potential to produce up to 200 Mbbl of oil, of which approximately 85 Mbbl could be incremental 2P reserves. Beach Energy holds 75% interest in the license area along with partner Cooper Energy holding 25%.
