Senex Energy Ltd announced results from the Namur oil discovery at #1-Martlet North on the western flank of the South Australian's Cooper Basin in permit area PRL1481. The well was drilled to 2,023 m and hit 3.2 m of net vertical pay in the Namur zone. The exploratory well was designed to evaluate the oil potential of Namur Sandstone, with a secondary target in Birkhead. According to Senex, the well encountered oil shows in the target reservoir and log evaluation indicates a vertical net pay of 3.2 m. In addition, the well encountered oil shows in Birkhead.
