Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Beach Energy Ltd reported that oil appraisal well #11-Callawonga was completed and wireline data indicates that it encountered a gross oil column of 4.3 m in McKinlay and Namur Sandstone. The venture is in PPL 220 in the western flank of the Cooper Basin in South Australia. The #11-Callawonga was the second of a three-well drilling campaign targeting Namur Sandstone. The #11-Callawonga step-out well drilled 670m southeast from #9-Callawonga to appraise a structural extension to the southern flank of Callawonga Field. The well was shut in, and the rig will be moved to drill the last well in the program, #1-Sensation in PRL 98. The planned depth is 1923m and targets Merrimelia. Beach holds 75% interest in PPL 220 and PRL 98 with partner Cooper Energy holding 25%.
