Drilling Activity Summary
Description
Cooper Energy, based in Brisbane, has shut-in #4-Sole, the second of two production wells in the Sole Gas Project in offshore Victoria, Australia’s Block VIC/L32 in the Gippsland Basin. The well was shut-in for future connection after clean-up and flowback operations. The company announced that a flow-back test was conducted on a near-horizontal, 112-m section of the Top Latrobe Group sandstone reservoir. The flow-constrained production rate was 60 MMcf per day and when tested on a 192/64-in. choke, the flowrate averaged approximately 54 MMcf per day. Cooper is the operator of Block VIC/RL3 and the Sole gas field with 100% interest.
