Real Energy Ltd., based in Sydney, announced results from a gas discovery at #2-Tamarama in Queensland, Australia. The Cooper-Eromanga Basin venture is producing from Toolachee and Patchawarra from a combined net pay of 35 m over a 90-m gross logged interval. In addition, there was 3.8 m of net gas pay in Nappamerri from the site in ATP 927P. Based on the mud log data, the net sandstone gas pay in Patchawarra at #2-Tamarama would be slightly less than in the previous well, #1-Tamarama. The #2-Tamarama is about 27 m updip from #1-Tamaram in the Permian Toolachee and Patchawarra formation level. The well was drilled to 2,581 m and has been cased and cemented for fracture stimulation.
