Coring at South Australia Exploratory Has Gas, Liquids Shows
Drilling Activity Details
Drilling Activity Summary
Description
In South Australia's Cooper Basin, Senex Energy Ltd. reported results from coring operations at #1-Skipton. The unconventional venture is in the PEL516 permit. More than 280 meters of core from Roseneath shale, Epsilon, Murtee shale, and Patchawarra have been retrieved and are being analyzed, with further coring to continue across the tight gas sands and deep coal seams of Patchawarra. According to the company, the thickness of Epsilon has exceeded expectations (68 meters) with elevated gas readings throughout the section and fluorescence in Patchawarra, indicating liquid hydrocarbons. Brisbane-based Senex is the operator of the block and well with 100% interest.
