A Cotton Valley well was completed by Laurel, Miss.-based Venture Oil & Gas Inc. to confirm New Home Salt Dome Field. The #1 Stringer 8-11 flowed 281 bbl of 45-degree-gravity crude and 420 Mcf of gas per day from perforations at 14,784-14,991 ft. The Smith County, Miss., well is in Section 8-10n-13w and was drilled to 15,697 ft. It was tested on a 12/64-in. choke with a flowing tubing pressure of 1,678 psi.
