In Mississippi’s Stringer Field, Roundtree & Associates Inc. has completed a Cotton Valley oil well. Located in Section 29-1n-11e in Jasper County, #1 Davis 29-12 was tested flowing 488 bbl of 44-degree-gravity crude and 487 Mcf of gas per day from perforations at 14,787-15,132 ft. The vertical well was drilled to 15,200 ft and was tested on a 19/64-in. choke with a flowing tubing pressure of 577 psi. The Jackson, Miss.-based company’s first completion in the field is within one-half mile to the southwest was #1 Viersen 29-13. It was tested flowing 256 bbl of 42-degree-gravity oil and 166 Mcf of gas per day from perforations at 14,880-14,973 ft. the vertical well was drilled to 15,280 ft and is in Section 29-1n-1e.
