Lewisville, Texas-based Jamex Inc. is drilling a 12,000-ft Cotton Valley test in Van Zandt County (RRC Dist. 5), Texas. The Edgewood Field test, #1 Reznicek, is on a 160-acre East Texas lease in F.W. Wrede Survey, A-897. Nearby production is within one-half mile to the northwest at the company’s #1 Bachte, also in Edgewood Field. It was tested in 2016 flowing 512 Mcf of gas and 95 bbl of water per day from Cotton Valley at 11,539-71 ft. Through November 2017, recovery from the 11,750-ft well was 304.4 MMcf of gas. A little more than 1 mile northeast of #1 Reznicek is Jamex’s #1 Ben Henderson, which was drilled to 11,750 ft. At last report, the operator was preparing to complete the Cotton Valley test with no other details available.
