IHS Markit reported that Empresa Operating has completed the easternmost well in the company’s horizontal Cotton Valley program in Bossier Parish, La. The #1 Rivers 17-21H flowed 12.14MMcf of gas per day from perforations at 9,376-16,328 ft. The Benton Field well was drilled to 16,445 ft (9,180 ft true vertical) and is in Section 17-20n-12w. It was tested on a 50/64-in. choke and the flowing casing pressure was 1,200 psi. The well bottomed about 1.5 miles to the southeast in Section 21. Empressa is based in Houston.
