Drilling Activity Summary

Description

IHS Markit reported that Deep Gulf Energy Co. has added two development tests to the company’s Odd Job Field in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The #2 OCS G24059 will be drilled in the central portion of Mississippi Canyon Block 214. Area water depth is 5,776 ft. After completion, the rig will be moved to drill #2 OCS G24060 on Mississippi Canyon Block 215, about 2 miles to the east-northeast. The Odd Job development is made up of blocks 214 and 215. The two-tract field was originally operated by Eni, but Houston-based Deep Gulf took over in April 2014. On Block 214, the site of Deep Gulf’s latest scheduled test, is an offsetting Middle Miocene test that was drilled in 2013 by Eni. The #1 OCS G24059 was temporarily abandoned at a depth of 17,065 ft with no other details reported.
