In Hinds County, Miss., Plano, Texas-based Denbury Resources Inc. plans to reenter a wildcat in the northern portion of the county, about 11 miles north of the town of Bolton, Miss. The #1 Capitol Magnolia LLC 33-2 is located in Section 33-8n-3w. Reentry plans are for an apparent Cotton Valley target at 16,800 ft.; there is no comparable production in the vicinity. Originally drilled as the #1 White, it was abandoned in 1972 and was production-tested flowing 8 million cu. ft. of gas daily through perforations at 15,891-15,965 ft. in Cotton Valley. Meanwhile, Houston-based EOG Resources Inc. has staked a deep wildcat in the central portion of Hinds County, about five miles southeast of Edwards. The #1 Belknap 18-3 is located in Section 18-5n-3w, and plans call for drilling to 17,500 ft. with a target objective in Hosston.
