In the Dalhart Basin, Fortay Inc. completed a Des Moines granite wash exploratory. The Sunray, Texas-based operator's #1024 Seeing is Believing is in Hartley County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. The discovery pumped 373 bbl. of 38-degree-gravity crude per day, with no gas or water from a site in Section 24, Block 2, BS&F Survey, A-963. Production is from an untreated interval at 6,672-90 ft. after drilling to 6,800 ft. The drillsite is about one mile southeast of the inactive Dobervich Field opener, which was completed in 1963.
