Chaparral Energy LLC completed a Des Moines Granite Wash well that produced 1,017 bbl. of 49-degree-gravity oil, 11.8 million cu. ft. of gas and 940 bbl. of water per day during initial testing of a horizontal leg. The Hemphill County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas well, #1H Wright 122, is in Section 122, Block 41, H&TC Survey, A-1050. Production is from the C zone at 10,362-14,696 ft. following a 10-stage acidizing and fracturing. The venture was drilled to 14,868 ft., 10,417 ft. true vertical. According to the Oklahoma City-based company, the well produced 8,100 bbl. of oil prior to its initial potential test.
