Description
Shell Oil Co. has scheduled a development test in the company’s Kaikias Field. The #6-K OCS G34461 will be drilled in the northeastern portion of Mississippi Canyon Block 812 and is expected to bottom in the same tract. Water depth in the area is 4,500 ft. The Kaikias discovery, #1 (BP) OCS G34458, was completed in 2014 in Mississippi Canyon Block 812 and it bottomed to the north on Block 768. The discovery well and the first appraisal test revealed more than 300 ft of net oil pay. Shell is based in Houston.
