Drilling Activity Summary
Description
LLOG Exploration is drilling a test on irregular Main Pass Block 23 in Plaquemines Parish. The offshore-Louisana state waters well, #3 State Lease 00195 QQ, is a directional test that will bottom about one-half mile to the south. The Black Bay East Field venture is targeting Miocene. The directional test is permitted to 8,962 ft., 8,100 ft. true vertical. Within one mile to the northeast, LLOG recently completed #1 State Lease 20344 that flowed 405,000 cu. ft. of gas per day from Miocene at 7,430-44 ft. Tested on a 10/64-in. choke, the 8,050-ft. well had a flowing tubing pressure of 1,536 psi and has apparently re-established production in Main Pass Block 23 Field, an abandoned reservoir that produced just 5,236 bbl. of crude and 12.8 million cu. ft. of gas. LLOG Exploration's headquarters are in Covington, La.
