Description
A drilling plan was filed by Covington, La.-based LLOG Exploration to expand the company’s Marmalard Field. One test will be drilled from a site in the far northwestern portion of Mississippi Canyon Block 300 (OCS G22868) and will bottom to the southwest in Block 299 (OCS G34435). Water in the area is 5,700 ft deep. The previous Block 299 lease was owned by Eni, with one well, #1SS OCS G21752. It was online from 2006 through 2011 and was producing from Upper Miocene at 11,142-11,208 ft. Marmalard (Block 300) field came online in mid-2015. Reservoir production comes from a range of Miocene perforations at 17,000-22,500 ft.
