Drillsearch Reports Hydrocarbons At Cooper Basin Exploratory
Drilling Activity Details
Drilling Activity Summary
Description
A Cooper Basin exploratory in South Australia, #1-Willow in PRLs173 and 174, hit hydrocarbons. According to Sydney-based operator Drillsearch Energy Ltd., the venture was drilled to 3,402 m and gas shows observed across the sandstones and coals of the Toolachee, Epsilon, and Patchawarra from 3,007 to 3,333 m. Preliminary wireline log interpretation shows approximately 8 m of net conventional pay consisting of 1.5 m in Toolachee, 4.0 m in Epsilon and 2.5 m in Patchawarra within a gross interval of 326 m. Stacked reservoirs were identified, and in addition to the conventional pay, several zones with potential for unconventional pay were also observed.
