Houston-based EOG Resources Inc. announced a Karnes County (RRC Dist. 2), Texas, Eagle Ford Shale discovery. The #3H Dodge Unit is in Eagleville Field in Section 8, Fernando Carillo Survey, A-64 and it initially flowed 1,714 bbl of 39° API oil, with 1.03 MMcf of gas and 1,079 bbl of water per day. Drilled to 17,633 ft, 10,505 ft true vertical, it was tested on a 30/64-inch choke with a flowing tubing pressure of 1,292 psi and a flowing casing pressure of 492 psi. Production is from perforations at 10,128-17,576 ft.
