EOG Resources Inc. has scheduled a number of northeastern Wyoming pads across a multi-section prospect in Johnson County, Wyo., named for country music performers. According to IHS Markit, the Houston-based company has permitted horizontal Powder River Basin tests from at least nine pads. The company's laterals will bottom under eight leases: Cash; Loretta; Waylon; Rufous; Sturgill Hank; Dolly and Haggard. Objectives include oil targets in the Sussex, Shannon, Niobrara, Frontier, Mowry and Muddy. Six Cash tests, including the #1201-03H Cash, and six Loretta tests including #1324-03H Loretta, will be drilled from pads in Section 18-47n-78w and Section 13-47n-79w. The Cash tests will bottom 2 miles to the north in Section 1-47n-7w, with the Loretta tests bottoming southward in Section 24-47n-79w. Three pads in Section 13-47n-79w, Section 14-47n-79w and Section 14-47n-79w will have #1102-03H Waylon and five other north-trending Waylon tests, and #1426-15K Rufous and six other south-trending Rufous tests. Two pads in Section 15-47n-79w will have six Sturgill and six Hank tests including #1003-4H Sturgill and #1522-03H Hank. The Sturgill tests will bottom to the north, with the Hank tests bottoming to the south. In Section 16-47n-79w, will the six north-trending Dolly tests and five south-trending Haggard tests including #0904-03H Dolly and #1621-03H Haggard. EOG’ headquarters are in Houston.
