Drilling Activity Summary

Description

According to Oil and Gas International, Exoma Energy confirmed an oil discovery in Eromanga Basin, Block ATP999P I, Queensland, Australia. The #1-Katherine exploration well, the fifth in its 2011 exploration campaign, was confirmed by independent well log and petrophysical evaluation. According to the Brisbane, Australia-based company, the Katherine West structure may contain up to 177 million bbl. of oil in place and an adjacent but undrilled prospect, Katherine East, may contain up to 458 million bbl. of oil-in-place. The #1-Katherine was drilled to 1,207 meters to test Exoma's modeled extension of the #1-Toobrac oil show. The well intersected a number of oil zones, totaling approximately 10 meters of potential oil pay. Log analysis indicates that the well intersected two oil columns of approximately 4 meters in Adori sandstone and 6 meters in lower Hutton sandstone. Exoma plans to drill a follow-up core well, #2-Katherine, in 2012 to study reservoir quality and the extent of the oil fill in the Adori sandstone and to test the deliverability of the Hutton sandstone. Exoma is the operator of ATP999P and the Katherine wells with 50% interest in partnership with China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), which is earning the remaining 50% interest via a farm-in and is providing the initial $50 million of joint venture expenditures on Exoma's five Galilee Basin ATPs.
